    You are our greatest resource for spreading the word about SAFEHOME.  We hope you will join us for an upcoming tour and bring a friend.  The tours are a great way to learn about SAFEHOME services and hear personal stories of changes lives.  
  • Upcoming Tours:  2011 - November 18 and December 16, 2012 - Jan. 30, Feb. 17, March 16, April 20, May 6*, May 18, June 15, July 20, Aug. 17, Sept 6*, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16, and Dec. 14.  All tours take place from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM and include a light lunch.  Although there is no charge, advanced reservations are required as space is limited.  RSVP to Jan Abbey at jabbey@safehome-ks.org or call 913-378-1511.  *May 6 and Sept 6 - Evening tour.  Takes place from 5 - 5:45 p.m.

    Announcement, May 11, 2011, TLC for Children and Familes, Inc., soon will be known as KidsTLC.  It will be made official July 12, when the agency marks its 39th anniversary.  Marshall, Jessica (2011, May 11). Name change for TLC. The Johnson County Sun, pp. 1A, 6A.

    TLC offers Street Outreach Services and Youth Crisis Services Programs to address the immediate needs for temporary shelter and crisis counseling for runaway and homeless youth and their families, and other youth living on the streets outside of the law enforcement, child welfare, mental health, and juvenile justice systems. TLC operates the only emergency/temporary shelter for runaway and homeless youth in Johnson, Wyandotte and Miami counties.

    Support our Soldiers:
    Johnson County Chapter of IAAP is issuing a SOS to its chapter members by asking for help in Supporting Our Soldiers and the Scout Platoon serving in Afghanistan.
